Project Summary
It took 3 months to finish this insulation modification project in 2019 in Jiangsu, China.
Compared with the previous insulation material—aluminum silicate wool(160mm thick), our ThermFelt-HT650 High Temperature Aerogel Insulation Blanket(≤650℃)(50mm thick) can save over 40% energy of 1.7km urea medium-pressure steam pipeline in the chemical plant. What’s also saved is the pipeline installation spcace and costs of maintenance and disposal. As our aerogel blanket is 100% inorganic and lifespan up to 25 years.
Every year, almost 1700tons/km of CO2 emisson is reduced.
It took only 2.5 years for the chemical plant to recover the total investment(CNY2092,100). Worth it!
